We are seeking Residential Counselors who have a passion for providing support to marginalized, disabled residents of the District of Columbia. The prospective employee will work independently, providing mental health services to a caseload of an average of 7-8 mentally ill adults in a home that would include: Housekeeping skills, cooking/meal preparation, nutrition, medication management, interpersonal skills, setting boundaries skills, crisis intervention, etc. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years experience with the chronically mentally ill and/or dual diagnosed adult population. Must be certified in First Aid, CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. Must have (or immediately begin the process to obtain) a Food Sanitation permit.
