Outpatient Addictions Services Clinician

Community Connections’ Outpatient Addiction Services (OAS) program is an intensive Substance Use Disorder treatment program that supports adults with a substance addiction and/or a co-occurring substance addiction and mental illness.  OAS takes a client-centered holistic approach to additions recovery, addressing the impact of mental health symptoms, developmental traumas, relationships, and environmental factors as possible obstacles to recovery.  OAS uses a range of models to support individuals in recovery, including enhancing motivation, lifestyle modification, encouraging network and family involvement, and teaching relapse prevention skills. OAS provides daily addictions counseling groups, daily psycho-education groups, individual addictions counseling/psychotherapy, clinical care coordination, case management, and diagnostic assessment and treatment planning.

 We seek an Outpatient Addictions Services Clinician to join our program’s small but strong and dynamic clinical team.  Responsibilities include Intake & Assessment, facilitating groups (Psych Ed & Addictions Counseling), Individual Addictions Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Clinical Care Coordination, Case Management (Resource Referral), Urinalysis & Breathalyzer collection, and other administrative tasks to support the program as needed.

 Minimum Requirements: 

  • LGSW licensure, CAC I or CAC II licensure, LICSW licensure, or LPC licensure

  • Strong knowledge of addiction and dual disorder

  • Strong consumer engagement and time management skills

  • Excellent clinical documentation (writing) skills

 Preferred Experience: 

  • At least 6 months experience in mental health and/or substance abuse

  • Experience facilitating groups
