It is with great pleasure to introduce our new CFO, Dan Menzer, to our Community Connections community. Dan has been with the agency for 5 months now and feels that in this stage of his career Community Connections is the perfect fit. Dan was born and raised in Ohio and is a graduate from Marrietta College and received his MBA from Duke University. He has been working in consulting for the past 21 years and has been based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is a father to three girls and a grandfather to five grandkids. Dan has made the transition from Chattanooga to the District and has thoroughly enjoyed his experience thus far. Even though Dan is now a resident of Washington DC, that will not defer him from rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, his home town teams.

As a consultant he helped different organizations in the area of finance. Most of his consulting experience has been involved in large health care systems. Dan has been CCs CFO for 5 months now but he has worked with CC prior to accepting the position. Dan was hired on as a consultant with Community Connections and was able to work with out previous CFO, Cheryl Bleakley and financial staff. Dan says he was drawn to this organization because he really believed in Community Connections mission’s to provide behavioral health, residential services, and primary health care coordination for marginalized and disenfranchised women, men, youth, and children living in the District of Columbia, many of whom are coping with challenges including mental illness, addiction, and the aftermath of trauma and abuse. He felt as if he would be able to see the direct results of the fruits of his labor which drew him to accepting the position. He is excited to work with a familiar staff and make valuable changes for our consumers within the community we serve.
