Rebecca Wolfson Berley, LICSW, EML, Chief Human Resources Officer, leads our Human Resources Department, and recruiting, hiring, and talent development efforts for staff. Rebecca is a Board Member of the DC Behavioral Health Association. In recent years Rebecca has played a lead role both in writing and implementing several SAMHSA-funded grant initiatives including Healing, Empowering and Recovering Together (HEART), serving children and families living with inter-generational violence, emotional disturbance/mental illness, and addiction, Women Empowered to Live Life (WELL), a collaborative, jointly led peer and clinician Women’s Wellness and Recovery Center, Sisters Empowering Sisters, a peer-to-peer women’s recovery program, and the Isis Project, serving African American women living with HIV. Rebecca has been both a clinician and trainer, training clinicians across the country in the Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (TREM) group intervention for women and adolescent girls (G-TREM), has presented at numerous conferences on a range of trauma-related topics, and co-authored chapters in several publications about trauma. She has been with Community Connections in a variety of clinical, training, and administrative roles for over 20 years, and earned her MSW at the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 1992 and an Executive Masters in Leadership from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business in 2015.
