Healing the Trauma of Abuse: A Woman's Workbook

Healing
the Trauma of Abuse: A Woman's WorkbookMary Ellen Copeland, MA, MS and Maxine Harris, Ph.D. co-authored Healing the Trauma of Abuse: A Woman's Workbook, which is based on the 33 session Trauma Recovery and Empowerment (TREM) group model developed at Community Connections.

This self-help workbook is for women recovering from the effects of physical, sexual and emotional abuse. It can be used by a woman on her own, with a therapist or supportive friend, or in conjunction with the recovery work she is doing in a group format.

The book is divided into four parts: Empowerment, Trauma Recovery, Creating Life Changes and Closing Rituals. Each part has a number of topics to work on, helps women develop individual goals for the recovery work, and addresses self-care while doing recovery work.
